20 – RIA Tomsk. Scientists of Tomsk State University (TSU) together with JSC
United Engine Corporation (UEC, structure of "Russian Technologies")
plan to open the research center where technologies of laser cultivation of
metal details will be developed for the company, the press service of TSU
reported.
According
to the higher education institution, the rector of TSU Eduard Galazhinsky and
the project manager of UEC Felix Shamray who visited university, discussed
creation of the center at the meeting on Monday. The division is supposed to be
opened within the cooperation agreement which TSU and UEC intend to sign soon.
"It is
about creation of the center for development of modern technologies of laser
cultivation of metal details. This is a new direction in the industry of
materials for which there is no worthy mathematical apparatus, experience in a
combination of various metals in one product, borders of opportunities of
technology aren't studied", – it is told in the message.

It is
specified that the rector of TSU supported the offer on creation of the center.
"We seek to recustomize the university under tasks of the industry now.
And such cooperation is extremely important for us", – the press service
quotes Galazhinsky .
It is noted
that scientists of various directions of fundamental science will actively
cooperate with the center. "According to this agreement TSU becomes
"a uniform window" through which interaction of corporation with
Tomsk region will be carried out", – emphasized in the higher education
institution.
It is added
that Shamray also suggested to create group of students and graduate students
of TSU for passing of training in the center of additive technologies of St.
Petersburg State University.
JSC UEC is
engaged in production and service of engines for space programs, military and
civil aviation, installations of various powers for production of electric and
thermal energy and other units. It unites more than 85% of assets of the
branch.
