invention, to ensure the safety of students and staff, including created by
scientists "electronic nose" and "Radioglaz-Antiterror",
the press-service of the university informed on Tuesday.
It is specified that TSU are developing a set of measures to enhance the safety
of staff and students, including the hardwares and educational programs. It is
dictated by the fact that in all academic buildings in the university is free
access. To use conservative approaches such as installation of turnstiles at
the entrances in TSU do not want.
"Own developments of the university will help to identify potentially
dangerous people and objects. In particular, "electronic nose",
created by scientists of Siberian Physical-Technical Institute (SPTI TSU)
together with the radio physicists of the University, will prevent the bringing
in buildings of prohibited substances", - is told in the message.

According to TSU, the device is able to assess the quality of the food and
medical products, to diagnose diseases by human exhaled gases, to detect
explosive and narcotic substances.
Also the university intends to use "Radioglaz-Antiterror"
– the device which can find the forbidden objects through a wall and at a
distance more than 10 meters.
Also complex measures include the educational projects, which purpose – is the
prevention of extremist sentiments among the students of TSU.
In addition, the Department of Psychology will organize a special course for
the university security guards, who will be acquaint with a technique of
revealing of the people concealing aggression. Also will be used the
scientific researches of biologists, who have identified a number of features
of human physiology, signaling about hostile intentions.
