Tomsk. Scientists of Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) take part in development of the
software allowing to use via smartphones and tablets a digital signature for
accounts, registrations of state services and official documents, the press
service of the university reported on Wednesday.
"Together with the Moscow company CJSC "Aladdin
R. D." TUSUR is engaged in creation of technology of reliable
authentication and digital signature for users of mobile devices. Work is
conducted within a grant of the federal target program "Researches and
Developments". <…> The great attention within this program is paid
to the development of legally significant electronic interaction", – is
said in the message.

It is noted that the creation of system for use of
digital signatures demands a formation of special infrastructure: networks of
certification centers which help to verify authenticity of the signature,
special software, passing by the user the procedure of registration, as a rule
– with visit to the offices. Usually, it takes a lot of time and money.
According to the press service, in TUSUR suggested not
to create new infrastructure, and to use already available resources of mobile
operators. Scientists should create the means of authentication and a digital
signature which is built in a gadget and to ensure data security.
It is specified that now similar technologies are
already offered, but they require bulky, inconvenient and not always adequately
protected external equipment. At the same time the use of a digital signature
via mobile devices would be convenient – it can be applied, for example, for
accounts, registration of state services and official documents.
According to the university, the new software can be
installed on mobile devices initially, or it can be downloaded later. At the
same time scientists don't need to create a digital environment completely – it
is necessary only to improve already existing technologies.
