TOMSK, Jul 5 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk State University (TSU) obtained the license for carrying out the international
examination TOEFL iBT® English, the Tomsk's first authorized center of testing
will begin work this fall, the press service of the university reports.
TOEFL
certificate – is the necessary document required for admission to foreign
universities, in obtaining the right to training or for employment requiring
knowledge of English. Internet-based Test (iBT) - is testing through the
Internet, includes tasks not only for reading, hearing and written language,
but also for oral speech and the combined tasks.
"The
Tomsk's first authorized center of testing TOEFL opened in TSU. (The
university) successfully passed certification and obtained the license for
carrying out the international examination TOEFL iBT® English <…> The
center of testing will begin work this fall", – is said in the message.

It is
noted that the right to administer tests from the company developer of
examination ETS (USA) was acquired by the staff of the TSU Research Library
(TSU RL) and management of international relations of the university.
"We
expect a big flow of persons interested to receive the certificate, and not
only from our university. Up to this point the nearest to residents of Tomsk
authorized center of testing was in Novosibirsk", – are quoted in the
message the TSU RL employee Galina Serbina.
It is
noted that within the work of the center TSU professors will also conduct
two-month courses of preparation for examination for persons interested. Courses will start work in the autumn of 2016.
