research institute of cardiology entering the National research medical center
formed in Tomsk will act as one of organizers of a round table on introduction
of innovations in medicine; it will pass in India within the BRICS-summit, the
deputy director of institute Shamil Akhmedov reported to RIA Tomsk.
The eighth summit of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China,
South Africa) will take place in India on October 15-16, 2016. Last year Tomsk
scientific research institute of cardiology initiated the creation of the
"BRICS-Biomed" international consortium within which experts of the
countries of alliance were going to work and introduce in common technologies
in the sphere of biomedical researches.
"To us on a visit came the assistant to the ambassador of India.
From October 12 to October 14 we will organize a round table under the big
event of the BRICS, which will be held in Goa. To us will granted the right to
carry out a round table "BRICS-Biomed" within which the first results
of the done work will be presented and the prospects of further development
will be discussed", – Akhmedov told.

He explained that introduction of innovative developments in practical
work of physicians will become one of the main subjects of a round table.
"We will discuss legal nuances – especially when the property questions,
and interaction of the private companies and the state for implementation of
projects are raised. Also it will be discussed how to get funding for the
project", – Akhmedov noted.
According to his information, also for discussion within a round table
experts from each country selected the most perspective, in their opinion,
projects. The Russian scientists plan to present more than 20 innovations,
including the coronary stents of new generation developed in Tomsk and the
pocket device for the electrocardiogram created together with scientists of
Tomsk Polytechnic University.
The interlocutor of the agency added that finally it is planned to
select about 30-40 most promising projects and to advance them by common
efforts of participants of consortium.
