Higher Education of the Russian Federation allocated to the Tomsk universities
for the 2019-2020 academic year 8712 places for admission to full-time in all
forms of education (bachelor, specialist, master programs); this is 268 more
than a year earlier, the press service of the regional administration reports
on Monday.
"The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation
approved 8,712 places for full-time education for the Tomsk universities in the
2019-2020 academic year (bachelor degree program – 4,055, specialist program
– 1,381, master program – 3,276). For school graduates in comparison with last
year it is allocated 111 more places for the bachelor and specialist programs
in all forms of education, for full-time – 268 places more", – is said in
the statement.
With reference to the deputy governor of the Tomsk region for scientific and
educational complex Lyudmila Ogorodova it is reported that Tomsk universities
are traditionally attractive to non-resident and foreign applicants. Currently,
students from 78 regions of Russia and 79 countries of the world study in
Tomsk.
"A feature of the admission campaign in 2019 is the change in admission
technology to target locations. The responsibility of the parties – target
training contract participants has increased. So, for example, has to work not
less than three years", – the press service quoted Ogorodova as saying.
