Tomsk. Representatives of universities and large companies
became part of the international council which directs the new master
degree program at the Institute of Economics and Management of Tomsk
State University (IEM TSU) "International Management", among partners
there are – Sberbank and IBM, the press service of the university reported on
Thursday.
It is specified that
the presentation of the "International Management" master program
implemented in English, took place at the IEM TSU. It should become one of the
flagships at the institute, since it presupposes a close combination of theory
and practice and international status: students will go on internships abroad,
part of the courses will be taught by instructors invited from the European
universities.
"The international
council of the program includes representatives of universities and large
international companies, among partners there are – IBM, PwC, EY, Sberbank,
Unilever. This opens up wide opportunities for graduates to work in the
international large companies and corporations", – is said in the report.
According to the head
of the program Natalya Chistyakova, there are state funded places in the new
master degree program, students of different specialties can enroll in it.
Training involves four basic blocks: finance, economics, personnel management,
management, is noted in the message.
According to the press
service, in the first two semesters an active immersion into the basic
disciplines of the main educational units is expected, the third semester – is
training in international exchange, the fourth – is an internship in partner
companies and writing a master's thesis.
“The important point is
that a so-called pre-module is provided – basic introductory courses in
economics and finance, before basic training begins, which is important for
students of non-economic specialties”, – Chistyakova is quoted in the message.
