TOMSK, Jul 10 - RIA Tomsk. More than 300 specialists agricultural labourers will take part in the "Field Day" forum, which is scheduled to be held in the Tomsk region from July 23 to 26, the press service of the regional administration reported on Wednesday.
“The traditional agroforum will be held in the region from July 23 to July 26, its program includes seminars, demonstrations and agrotechnological exhibition. More than 300 specialists from agro-industrial complex departments, agronomists, breeders, heads of agricultural enterprises and heads of farms, representatives of agricultural universities, technical schools, as well as experts from other regions of Russia are invited to take part in the forum", - is said in the statement.
It is added that a meeting on the development of plant breeding and seed production in Siberia with the participation of Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Siberian Federal District Sergei Menyailo, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, scientists, deputy governors of Siberian regions will be held within the framework of the "Field day - 2019".
According to the press service, the participants of the agroforum will exchange experience in the application of innovative technologies for the production of potatoes and rapeseed cultivation, will visit the rapeseed processing plant, areas of state variety testing and agrotechnological exhibition.
They will also visit demonstration sites where experimental breeding varieties of oil flax, soybeans, potatoes, sunflower, corn, rapeseed, peas, spring wheat, oats, barley and perennial grasses are grown up.
