countering the spread of coronavirus restricts entry into the Tomsk region and
exit from the region by road; motorists at posts will be required to present
documents confirming the urgency of the trip, the press service of the regional
administration said on Sunday.
Earlier it was reported that due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus
infection in the Tomsk region, a regime of universal self-isolation was
introduced until April 30. Regional authorities have reduced the number of runs
on inter-municipal bus routes. Trains and bus runs to other regions were
canceled. Starting April 13, everyone arriving from abroad, as well as from
Moscow and St. Petersburg, must comply with the 14-day quarantine.
According to the press service, the regional headquarters for countering
coronavirus infection imposes restrictions on entry and exit from the Tomsk
region. It will be possible to cross the border of the region by road only for
reasons related to official or production activities, or in case of emergence.
"From tomorrow, April 27, at the posts at the entrance to Tomsk,
motorists will be obliged to justify their movement by presenting appropriate
job assignments or documents confirming the need for an urgent departure from
the Tomsk region (or entry into the region) related to personal
circumstances", – is said in the message.
It is added that a number of Siberian regions intend to introduce two-week
isolation at the place of arrival or at the observator for all nonresident.

Earlier it was reported that from April 14 all those entering the Kemerovo
region are required to isolate themselves for 14 days. This can be done either
at the place of arrival (excluding hotels and hostels), or at local observers.
It was also reported that as of April 26 there are 67 cases of infection
with COVID-19 were detected in the Tomsk region, five are on mechanical
ventilation. 11 patients were cured. It was also reported that the coronavirus
was detected in two Tomsk shift workers in the Altai Republic (they are not
included in the statistics for the Tomsk region, but are on self-isolation in
Tomsk).
