TOMSK, Jun 19 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk agricultural holding Sibagro (formerly Siberian Agrarian Group) in June 2020 began exporting boneless pork to Vietnam, with an export volume of up to 100 tons per week; by the end of the year, Sibagro plans to increase the average livestock in the Tomsk pig complex by 11%, the press service of the regional administration reports on Friday.
"In June, Sibagro began exporting to Vietnam, selling up to 100 tons of boneless pork per week. By the end of the year, the agricultural holding plans to increase the average livestock in the Tomsk pig farm by 11%, while the volume of sales of pork in live weight by the end of 2020 should exceed 50 thousand tons", – is said in the report.
According to the chairman of the board of directors of Sibagro Andrey Tyutyushev, who is quoted by the press service, over the five months of 2020, the production of sausages at the Tomsk meat processing plant Sibagro increased by 23% (up to 5.9 thousand tons), and semi-finished products – by 20% (up to 1.8 thousand tons). The company successfully completed spring field work, sowing nearly 538 hectares of arable land.
"The epidemic (coronavirus) had practically no effect on the performance of one of the country's leading agricultural holdings. The company is confidently looking to the future, and there is every reason for this confidence. I hope that the company will not reduce its level of social responsibility", – the press service quotes the governor Sergey Zhvachkin.
Earlier it was reported that the Sibagro agricultural holding was founded in Tomsk in 2000 and over the past 20 years has grown to become a producer of federal and international scale. Now it includes 11 manufacturing enterprises in seven regions of Russia. Sibagro in Tomsk includes three enterprises: "Tomsk" pig-breeding farm, "Tomsk" poultry farm and "Tomsk" meat-processing plant.
