TOMSK, Aug 7 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk agricultural holding Sibagro is waiting for permission to export pork to the Philippines; the company plans to expand exports, including through enterprises located in the Sverdlovsk region and Krasnoyarsk Krai, the head of the Sibagro department for external economic activity Semyon Chernyak told RIA Tomsk.
Earlier with reference to the press service of the agricultural holding it was reported that Sibagro (formerly Siberian Agrarian Group) - is the largest pork producer beyond the Urals. Now the holding includes 11 manufacturing enterprises in seven regions of Russia.
"The production sites located in the Tomsk, Novosibirsk regions and the Republic of Buryatia are already actively exporting (pork) abroad ... Soon, permission from the Philippines may be obtained. Production capabilities allow us to send many times more, but we are waiting for permits to export to other countries", - Chernyak said.
According to him, in the near future Sibagro expects to start exporting from enterprises located in the Sverdlovsk region and Krasnoyarsk Krai.

The interlocutor of the agency noted that the PRC and Russia have not yet reached an agreement on the supply of pork, so the company cannot start exporting to this rather capacious market. Today the main directions for export of Sibagro products are Vietnam, Mongolia, Hong Kong, the countries of the Customs Union (Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus).
Earlier it was reported that the Sibagro agricultural holding began export deliveries of boneless pork to Vietnam in June 2020. It was also reported that by the end of the year the company plans to increase the average livestock at the Tomsk pig complex by 11%.
Sibagro agricultural holding was founded in Tomsk in 2000 and over 20 years has grown to a producer of federal and international scale. Sibagro includes three Tomsk enterprises: "Tomsk" pig-breeding farm, "Tomsk" poultry farm and "Tomsk" meat-processing plant.
