TOMSK, Apr 19 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk agro-industrial holding Sibagro (before the rebranding known as Siberian Agrarian Group) acquired a number of enterprises of the Promagro company in the Belgorod region and now expects to enter the food market of central Russia, the website of the Tomsk holding reported on Monday.

Earlier it was reported that the Sibagro company in 2021 intensified its work on the purchase of assets. The subsidiary of Sibagro (OOO Agrarnaya Gruppa-Kapital) bought out 100% of the shares of OOO Tomskiy Kristall, which owns real estate in the center of Tomsk with a total area of 10 thousand square meters. Since March, Sibagro has bought three agricultural firms in the Krasnoyarsk Krai and announced its readiness to acquire the Belgorod agricultural holding Promagro for 9.5 billion rubles.

"Sibagro company has acquired several enterprises of the Belgorod agricultural holding Promagro. After joining the Sibagro, all new enterprises will begin to improve the performance of pig breeding and the introduction of modern technological solutions," is said in the message.

It is noted that the assets of Promagro, which have passed into the ownership of the Tomsk agricultural holding, include three pig farms with a capacity of 64.5 thousand tons of meat per year, a meat processing plant for 113 thousand tons per year, feed production area of 200 thousand tons a year and 42 thousand hectares of agricultural land. The final amount of the deal is not disclosed.

"The Sibagro company has been producing pork for Siberia and the Far East for more than 20 years. We know how to produce meat and are ready to replicate our experience. Growth to the federal level and entry into the market of the central part of Russia is a logical stage in our development," the website quotes Chairman of the Board of Sibagro Andrey Tyutyushev.

By the end of 2021, Sibagro expects to reach production volumes of 400 thousand tons of pork per year. According to an informed source of RIA Tomsk, with such indicators, Sibagro will become the second largest pork producer in Russia (10% of the pork market in Russia), after Miratorg (11% of the market).

Earlier it was also reported that before the purchase of Promagro assets, 11 production enterprises were part of Sibagro. These are seven pig breeding complexes - in the Tomsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen regions, in Krasnoyarsk Krai and the Republic of Buryatia; three meat processing plants in Tomsk, Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg and the Tomskaya poultry farm.
