TOMSK, Apr 28 – RIA Tomsk.
The design of the website for applicants of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) won silver at the largest digital competition in
Eastern Europe Tagline Awards; it was created with the interests of
"digital generation" in the form of a quest, Head of TPU Division for
Internal and External Communications Maria Moiseenko told RIA Tomsk on
Wednesday.
According to open sources, Tagline Awards is
the largest digital competition in Eastern Europe. The 2020/2021
competition was held in more than 150 nominations, covering the main
digital areas. The award ceremony took place in Moscow at the end of
April. The design of the "Abiturient TPU" ("TPU Applicant") website won
silver in the competition.
"The design of the website was
developed taking into account the interests of applicants who use
gadgets and social networks and have high standards and ideas about what
the design should be. The website "speaks" the same language with
applicants, this is facilitated by 3D and animoji. The whole website was
created as a quest and helps to automatically calculate suitable
specialties and chances of admission," – Moiseenko said.
The
interlocutor of the agency added that on the website "the university is
presented as a large-scale, serious, but at the same time as a place
where a future student can actively spend the coming years and find new
friends and hobbies".

"The most difficult thing was to
make the website absolutely non-traditional, focused on the digital
generation. These guys think completely differently, make decisions on
their own, they choose the university, not their parents. Therefore, the
task was to interest them in a comfortable, interesting, memorable
design", – Moiseenko explained.
According to her, the site
was developed by the Parweb company, which specializes in promoting
universities in the digital environment: "Polytech has been working with
this partner for a long time. We are proud that Parweb did the work not
just as a contractor, but was involved, recommended, watched the best
world examples and used this experience to fulfill the tasks of TPU".
