TOMSK, Jul 8 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk company Sibirskiye Prostory (Siberian Vast Expanses) working under
the brand LogWorks, for the first time shipped to the Czech Republic chipped
roof shakes – shingles made of larch, general director Stanislav Shubin told
RIA Tomsk; according to him, demand for eco-shingles from Siberia is good – it
is half the price of European analogues.
"Our company first delivered a batch of chipped roof shakes (shingles
made of larch) in the Czech Republic, the volume was 5 thousand square meters,
the planned annual volume of supplies – 20 thousand "squares". Roof
shakes is the plates of a certain size, processed in a special way and used for
arrangement of the roof, facade and interior decoration," Shubin said.
According to his words the main business of the company Sibirskiye Prostory
(Siberian Vast Expanses) (LogWorks brand) is construction of log houses from
cedar, larch and pine logs. The production of roof shakes stood out as a
full-fledged line of business. Offers for the supply of finished wooden
eco-houses and roof shakes from a Tomsk company as part of the activities of
the Tomsk Export Promotion Center were placed on the international marketplace
Alibaba.com.

"Not only the Czech Republic is interested in the product – our
eco-roof shakes is twice cheaper than European counterparts, so potentially the
sales geography – is the whole world. In addition to chipped roof shakes, we
have launched production of sawn cedar and larch roof shakes. Also in the fall
we plan to launch a CNC robot for the production of houses using Timber Frame
technology from natural timber and vacuum drying of the log," Shubin said.
The Tomsk Export Promotion Center website reports that in 2020, the center,
in cooperation with service partner Alibaba in Russia, helped place and promote
the products of 10 small and medium-sized businesses on the site. As a result,
Tomsk companies concluded export contracts with India, South Korea, France,
Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Vietnam, Bolivia, and Botswana.
According to the SPARK-Interfax information and analytical system, OOO
Sibirskiye Prostory was registered in Tomsk in 2015. Officially, as of the end
of 2020, the company employed 74 people. Last year was very successful for
Sibirskiye Prostory: revenue exceeded 172 million rubles (3.5 times more than
at the end of 2019), with a net profit of almost 34 million. The beneficiary of
the company is Tomsk entrepreneur Oksana Reshetova.
